Giving Back to the Community: BGIT’s Outreach with @VisitAHospitalToday

This past weekend, the BGIT Team had the privilege of joining @visitahospitaltoday for an impactful outreach event aimed at supporting those in need. We spent the day helping to pay medical bills and offer assistance to individuals facing financial challenges when it comes to their healthcare. It was a truly humbling experience to witness firsthand the struggles many individuals face when trying to access basic healthcare services, and it was an honor to be able to provide some relief to those who needed it most.

While @BGITNigeria’s mission is primarily focused on boosting tech literacy and empowering young women in Nigeria through digital education, we are also acutely aware of the broader socio-economic disparities that many face daily. We believe that access to resources is a fundamental right, and that includes both digital tools and basic healthcare. Our commitment to improving the lives of young women extends beyond the digital space, as we understand the importance of creating a holistic approach to empowerment—one that ensures the well-being of individuals in all aspects of their lives.

This outreach was a powerful reminder that while technology plays an essential role in shaping the future, we must also pay attention to the immediate needs of our communities.
